| Mr. Olmstead is a former Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Prince William County. As a former prosecutor, he brings to the firm a wealth of knowledge and experience from one of the most respected Commonwealth's Attorney's Offices in the state. Tim earned his B.S. degree in Law Enforcement from George Mason University in 1994 and a B.A. in Government & Politics in 1996. He later went on to law school and earned his juris doctorate degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. His experiences lend to this firm his exceptional ability to assess criminal cases for trial, understanding the procedural and technical aspects of criminal law. As a prosecutor, his trial experience ranged from violent crimes, such as, murders, rapes, robberies to numerous misdemeanors, including drug and alcohol offenses. Mr. Olmstead is a former adjunct professor of criminal law at the Northern Virginia Community College. He has also lectures for the Virginia Polygraph Association. He has also lectured at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center and has been a member of Drug Court in the Prince William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Prince William County Bar Association and Virginia Homicide Investigators Association. Mr. Olmstead's practice areas include criminal defense. |
Sevda Serttas Olmstead graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement in 1994 and a B.A. degree in Government & Politics in 1996. Mrs. Olmstead was employed with two exceptional local firms; one concentrating in criminal defense work and the other in family law while attending undergraduate courses at George Mason University. After acquiring experience in both fields and her undergraduate degrees, she then pursued a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan. She graduated Thomas M. Cooley with a Juris Doctorate in 2001. She zealously advocates for her clients and has an exceptional ability to evaluate cases in preparation for trial. Mrs. Olmstead works to resolve issues in dispute for her clients when in their best interest but is not hesitant to litigate when no alternatives remain. Mrs. Olmstead has successfully represented both mothers and fathers in custody disputes and divorce. Sevda S. Olmstead is a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, Prince William County Bar Association and Virginia Women Attorneys Association. Mrs. Olmstead is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Commonwealth of Virginia representing the best interests of juveniles. In addition, she is certified by the Virginia Indigent Commission to accept juvenile, misdemeanor and felony court appointments. Mrs. Olmstead founded Sevda S. Olmstead, P.C. in August 2005 as a sole practitioner. On February 1, 2007, Mrs. Olmstead and Mr. Olmstead opened their current law practice serving Prince William, Fauquier, Loudoun and Fairfax Counties. The firm now boasts five exceptional attorneys and a considerate staff. Mrs. Olmstead practices in the areas of juvenile and adult criminal defense, minor traffic violations, child custody, child support, visitation, and divorce (family law). |

Michael C. Fasano graduated with distinction from George Mason University with a B.A. in Government and Politics before traveling to the State of New York to receive his Juris Doctorate degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 2004. After practicing in Labor and Employment Defense at a law firm in Midtown Manhattan, he returned home to Northern Virginia to pursue civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Fasano is fast building a reputation as a highly respected family and criminal defense attorney in Northern Virginia. His experience in family law ranges from divorce, custody, and support to defense of protective orders and petitions of contempt for failure to abide by court orders. Mr. Fasano has experience in criminal misdemeanor and felony defense. He is a member of the Prince William County Bar Association. |
Ms. Rowhani graduated from George Mason University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Minor in French. After gaining research, writing, and editing experience in the publishing field, she attended Tulane Law School and earned a Juris Doctorate in 2000. Following law school, Ms. Rowhani worked as a Staff Attorney at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, where she vigorously represented clients in Family Law matters. She later joined the Pro Bono Institute as Project Director of the Corporate Pro Bono project. In this role, she worked with general counsel and in-house counsel in corporate law departments to develop and foster successful pro bono programs. After relocating to New Jersey in 2005, Ms. Rowhani founded Rowhani Consulting, Inc. As president of the company, she used her legal, research, writing, and program management expertise to provide support for and consult with companies and organizations nationwide. Ms. Rowhani joined Olmstead & Olmstead, P.C., upon her return to Northern Virginia in July 2008. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Prince William County Bar Association. Ms. Rowhani practices in the areas Estate Planning and Family Law. |

James F. Anderson graduated summa cum laude from Gannon University in 2005 with dual B.A.s in Political Science and History. He later attended George Mason University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2008. While at George Mason, Mr. Anderson worked at the Clinic for Legal Assistance to Service members where he utilized his skills to help active duty military personnel resolve a variety of legal matters including but not limited to uncontested divorces and civil lawsuits. Mr. Anderson is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Fairfax Bar Association, and the Prince William County Bar Association. He is certified by the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission to handle court appointed criminal misdemeanors. James Anderson joined Olmstead & Olmstead, P. C. in March 2009 to expand the firm's areas of practice to include consumer bankruptcy. His current practice areas include estate planning, criminal law (adult and juvenile), collections, business law, and civil litigation. |
Stephanie joined Olmstead & Olmstead, P.C. after working as an assistant manager at a local bank in the area. She is currently working towards obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with the goal of becoming an attorney. Stephanie is a legal assistant with the firm and she is charged with the responsibilities of working closely with the attorneys to effectuate resolutions of matters pending. She has multiple tasks which include client contact, file preparation, drafting of multiple pleadings and general office duties. Stephanie is fluent in Spanish. |

Ada is the newest member to join Olmstead & Olmstead, P.C. She is a George Mason University graduate with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in French. In addition she has associates degrees in Business Administration, Liberal Arts and International Studies. Ada is most likely the first person you will come into contact with when you call Olmstead & Olmstead, P.C. Ada is our Legal Assistant and is charged with the responsibilities of calendaring, scheduling and can assist you with upcoming court dates and scheduling.
